You’re tired of scrolling past perfect moments that don’t look anything like your life.
Tired of wondering if this season is slipping by too fast to hold onto.
You want photographs that show the truth of it.
the mess, the quiet, the in-between.
The parts that actually mattered.
I get it because I live it.
And I do it differently because I’m not afraid of what’s honest.
If you want images that feel lived-in, not styled,
you’re in the right place.
I’m a mom to five girls, which means my house is loud, emotional, magical, exhausting, and never, ever quiet. One of those girls is Addie—the heart behind Addie and Kay Photography. She left us at the age of five, and while that will always be part of my story, it’s also the reason I hold photos the way I do: carefully, reverently, and with deep respect for what they carry.
Before photography, I was a teacher. After Addie died, everything shifted. I picked up my camera not as a career move, but as a lifeline. Photography became the way I learned to breathe again, and eventually, the way I learned to build something new. I haven’t looked back since.
These days, you’ll find me juggling a business while being a full-time mom, documenting real life as it unfolds. Messy kitchens, loud love, quiet moments, and everything in between. I believe photos matter because I’ve lived the reality of them being all you have left.
I’m easygoing, deeply sentimental, and not interested in perfection. I care more about truth than trends, and I’ll always choose meaning over polish.
If you value photographs that feel human, lived-in, and honest
we’re probably going to get along just fine.
